This week we have News Papers adds running in 8 major news papers within Central Queensland. These adds to seek out interested people and venues that want to partake in cue sports events with Central Queensland. A draft agenda for the initial meeting via postal vote were each association completes the questionnaire. The purpose is to incorporate the association "Central Queensland Cue Sports" Inc (CQ Sports) To be attached soon.

 

Why Cue Sports? Cue Sports covers the three major disciplines that are played world wide which are eight ball (2" balls), nine ball (2 1/4" balls) and snooker (2 1/16" balls).

Central Queensland Cue Sports will act as the governing body for these disciplines in central Queensland. The management committee will liaison with all State and Australian bodies that govern that particular sport in our state.

FIRSTLY: Any association or person may JOIN as a member, you do not have to affiliate with a State, Australian or International Sports Body. However some event restrictions may apply!

Membership, whilst some state bodies may not allow membership unless your association has a particular number of members. We will offer a pathway for individual sports person to affiliate with these State, Australian and International bodies via Central Queensland Cue Sports.

Jared JensenTHE world championships is the latest challenge for Sport Star of the Year nominee, eight ball player Jared Jensen.

Jared Jensen will play in the World Eight Ball Championships in Blackpool, England.

EIGHT BALL: The world championships is the latest challenge for Sport Star of the Year nominee, eight ball player Jared Jensen.

At just 16, Jensen has had almost 10 years of experience and has played in four national championships.

His world championship challenge comes after a seventh finish at the national titles in Tasmania, when he was selected to play for the Australian under-18 team at Blackpool in England from June 24 to July 17.

AT just 16, Jared Jensen is an ace on the pool table.

Jensen has been selected to compete for the Australian under-18 team at the world junior eightball titles next month, after competing at the last four national championships.

He gained selection after finishing seventh at the national titles at Glenorchy in Tasmania, and cannot wait to experience the competition at Blackpool in England from June 24 to July 17.

central queensland cue sportsWelcome to Central Queensland Cue Sports "CQ Sports" website.

Central Queensland Cue Sports (CQ-Sports) is a governing body for cue sports in the Central Queensland, Australia. It's grass root stem from the Central Queensland Associations Board which was established in 2005  as a non-profit  association in order to promote the sport and organise its players, coaches, umpires, officials and volunteers via tournaments at various levels. The 2005 Committee consisted of Alan Stewart "President", Geoff Thursby "Secretary", Steve Cluney "Treasurer" and others.

Central Queensland Cue Sports sanctions various leagues, tournaments, and tournament series. The association publishes a rule books and documentation that includes rules for cue sports such as eight-ball, nine-ball, snooker, as well as rules for other games that are not presently the subject of international competition. Central Queensland Cue Sports holds seasonal and annual events that cater for all age groups. Also annually, it awards great players and those who have made great contributions to the sport, into the Central Queensland Cue Sports "We are Champions".

The voting members of the association are those associations, clubs and other entities that adopt cue sports as a discipline through out Central Queensland.
